Hesse Police Force is to introduce Steria's FIT biometric solution into its identification departments throughout the state. FIT is the acronym for Fingerprint Image Transmission, a software transmitting fingerprints and other biometric features such as faces or signatures to national data bases in a highly secure manner in order to check the identity of suspects.
