Jürgen Sponnagel

Chairman of the Executive Board of Steria Mummert Consulting AG, member of the Management Board of the Steria Group.

Jürgen Sponnagel, born 1950, is Chief Executive Officer of Steria Mummert Consulting, one of the leading management and IT consulting companies in Germany.

Steria Mummert Consulting was established early 2005 through the merger of Steria GmbH and the Mummert Consulting AG and represents the Steria Group in Germany and Austria. In addition to his position as CEO of Steria Mummert Consulting, Jürgen Sponnagel was appointed to the Group Management Board of the Steria Group as of 1st January 2005.

Having studied economics, Sponnagel has been heading the business of the former Mummert Consulting AG since 2003 as Chairman of the Executive Board. Since 1989 he has held different positions in the management and the executive board of the company, with a main focus on banking. Sponnagel began his professional career in 1979 as a consultant with GMO management consultants in Hamburg.

Jürgen Sponnagel is married and has three children. The passionate yachtsman spends his spare time in the Baltic Sea.
